Blindfold me Lord.
Blind fold me Lord, because I no longer want to see with my eyes. I want to see with yours.
Blindfold me Lord, because I want to have to trust.
Blindfold me because Lord, I want you to lead.
Blindfold me Lord, so that I won’t rationalize things.
Blindfold me Lord, because I want to follow.
Blindfold me Lord, because I want you to hold my hand.
Blindfold me Lord, so that my faith continues to grow.
Blindfold me Lord, because I want to please you.
Blindfold me Lord.
In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.

amen.
wow… thank you.
it reminded me when at our training boot camp, there was one game… because we broke some rule (don’t remember which), the punishment for the team was that three members were to be blindfolded during the game. i volunteered and was so glad i did. it was an entirely different experience. i knew that my friend would guide my hands and i knew that she would not leave me… i trusted her, felt the team members next to me, and listened. although we did not win the game, i am glad that i volunteered to be blindfolded.
now the main thing is not to struggle against that blindfold.
thanks, Michael.
Real good thoughts Zee.
Thx.
Good prayer Michael. And I will allow Zee’s remarks to speak for me as well. Not much more I can add.
Good prayer!
Bill and Zee’s comments speak for me.
Umm..can I say ditto?
Love the prayer and echo it.
Yes! That’s what it means to truly see, hear, feel… to truly be alive. Amen.
Thank you Jason.
Excellent post, Michael.
If I could be bothered to do a Friday favorites post this week, this would definitely be on it!
Thank you Peter, it has been my heart’s cry.
What a great prayer. I think my favorite line is the one about rationalizing things. I tend to do that way too much.
I think my prayer would be more along the lines of that Jeremy Camp song, Empty Me:
“Holy fire burn away my desire for anything that is not of you and is of me. I want more of you and less of me.”
Find myself singing that quite a bit lately.
Probably one of my favorite songs.
